Message OK, I read many posts about the diff bushings replacement. It looks like an easy job, but I have a problem with the rear bushings (on the subframe) installation : the bushings seem to be too large for the hole in the subframe.

As you can see in this pic, my slide caliper is adjusted on the middle of the bushing, and this is too large for the metal tube in the hole of the subframe.

If there were no tube, the diameter of the hole in the subframe would be the exact size of the OD of the bushings, but this tube is soldered so I presume I have to keep it.

In this other pic, you see that the smallest diameter on the chamfered side of the bushing is just the size of the tube on the subframe, so there's not enough room to insert the bushing.

So, how did you do ? Did you remove this tube in the subframe, or is the European TT 2+2 subframe different than the US's ?
